Ongoing Business
1. Good Shepherd Hospital update –
Anna and Chuck were not present at this meeting to provide an update on the hospital’s radio project.
A conversation ensued among the members regarding the feasibility of using handheld radios inside the
hospital. It was generally concluded that the hospital would be better served by using the handsets that
they already own for that purpose.

2. Jeff K. has placed the order based on the bill of materials that Sam provided. The FT-991a and a power
distribution unit are currently backordered, but the rest of the pieces have arrived. Jeff has emailed the club to schedule
the assembly of the pieces that have been received into the rack case on Thursday, December 15th at 4:30 PM.

3. Anna wasn’t present at the meeting to give an update on Don’s estate equipment that was purchased by the club.
Interest in purchasing the equipment should still be sent to Anna via email.

New Business
1. Kevin moved that the club accept the solar system offered for donation by HSD. Whitley seconded the motion.
Kevin offered to store it in his barn. Motion carried unanimously.

2. Kevin moved that we meet at Hermiston High School room 301 next month, Sam seconded the motion. Motion
passed unanimously.

3. Kevin mentioned that there can be no VE testing at the January meeting as neither Kevin nor Jim will be present
at the meeting to act as CVE.

4. There will be no club breakfast on Saturday morning as the club’s annual Christmas Dinner will be taking place on
that day instead.

5. FEMA interoperability exercise will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 AM on 60m.

6. The GMRS proposal made by Jason last month will be carried over to next month’s meeting as Jason wasn’t
