Ongoing Business

  1. Tom Roberts is busy, according to Alan.  It may be that we won’t be able to meet up with him to get rid of the ARES equipment that HARC is currently storing at its own expense.  Dennis will talk with Anna to see if any progress has been made on this topic.

       2.    Nobody has reached out to the maintenance people (Matt Moore) at GSHCS.  Alan said that Tom Roberts was interested in seeing a ham radio capability at the hospital, but that Tom hadn’t really said anything more than that.  Dennis thought that Whitley was going to contact the maintenance supervisor to look into the possibility of adding an amateur radio station to the facility.

       3.    Field Day is coming up and the club is meeting at the old fairgrounds by the high school.  We’ll need to discuss the need for a safety officer and other logistics as the date approaches.

       4.    Emery brought up the matter of putting DCS on the 02 repeater again in an attempt to eliminate the interference happening from the DMR repeater on Jump Off Joe.  A couple of HARC members had apparently objected to putting DCS on the 02 as they have several radios that don’t work with DCS, and putting DCS on the repeater would prevent people with older radios from using the repeater.

New Business

  1. The HARC breakfast will be this Saturday (6/18/22) at Rayz Dayz at 8AM.
  1. The Boardman Fourth of July parade will be coming up soon.  Dennis needs three or four more people in order to volunteer the club to work the parade.
  1. Dennis announced that Wednesday the 15th is the FEMA interoperability exercise on 60m, Channel 1.

The meeting was adjourned by KI7CUS at 20:48.

Respectfully submitted by Jeff Kelso, W7JJK.
