Ongoing Business

        1. The Comms truck was sold by AA7DD just before his passing and the check was turned over to J. Kelso by Dennis McKenry at this meeting.  Some discussion ensued after the presentation of the check about the possible purchase of a trailer for the club.  Alternatives to a trailer were also discussed.

New Business

  1. KE4TRR updated the club on the agreement reached between ODOT and OEM about the amateur radio kit that is stored in the emergency trailer at the ODOT yard.  ODOT has shipped the amateur radio kit back to OEM which is refurbishing the kits and then shipping them back to the counties.  The Umatilla Sheriff’s Office is going to receive one of the refurbished amateur radio kits and the kit will no longer be stored in the ODOT trailer.
  1. KD7VX moved to have HARC reimburse KJ7MI for the expense of renting a storage unit for the temporary storage of the HARC, CSEPP, ARES, and State of Oregon equipment that was removed from AA7DDs estate on 1/9/22.  Motion was seconded by KE7YX.  Motion passed.
  1. A discussion was had about AA7DDs passing and the collection of equipment that Don had amassed over the years (much of which belonged to other organizations and agencies) and its disposition.  It was decided that the conversation will continue at future meetings.
  1. Whitley was nominated to fill board position 1 until March, 2023.  Ken Berry was nominated for Position 3 until  March, 2024.  Jeff Sak was nominated to fill position 2 until March, 2022.  A vote was taken on each position and each nominee was elected.
  1. KE4TRR volunteered to email Sean Halsey with Umatilla Radio Data District to see about the possibility of installing the HARC’s .16 repeater back up on Carney Butte and will report back to the club.
  1. The HARC breakfast will be next Saturday (1/15/21) at Rayz Dayz at 8AM.
  1. KI7CUS received a postcard inviting Club members who participated in the Umatilla County Fair Parade to an appreciation dinner taking place on January 29, 2022 at EOTEC at 5:00pm.
