October 12, 2020 Meeting Minutes

The October 12, 2020 monthly HARC meeting was held in person at the Agape House.  The meeting was called to order by KI7CUS at 19:00.

Attendees: KD7VX, KI7CUS, AA7DD, W7JJK, KE7YX, KJ7NYZ, AA7AZ, KE4TRR, W7OLI, KJ7KVK, W7YCH

Guests:  None

New Members: None

AA7AZ moved for the adoption of all past meeting minutes.  Seconded by KD7VX.  Motion approved.

September 2020 meeting minutes and Treasurer’s Report were distributed via email by J. Kelso on 10/8/2020. 

Treasurer’s Report

W7JJK read the September Treasurer’s Report.  Checking account is in good standing with a balance of $2,732.56.  

Ongoing Business

1. The repeater antenna painting project is on hold until spring.

2. Whitley brought up the fact that we need to put the .16 repeater up somewhere and he said that we could put it at Robin’s place instead of putting the 6m repeater there. We have radios to use as a 6m repeater, but we don’t have an appropriate antenna or cavities.  

3. Don says that Jeff Sak and he patched the roof on the truck.  Don mentioned that he has a house full of computer equipment and a TV that are ready to go into the truck once it’s ready.

New Business

1. Whitley reported that he is hearing a repeater ID in CW on the 147.02 frequency.  It’s not the ID from our repeater.  Discussion ensued about which repeater it might be.
2. Don mentioned that Jerry Ender, N7KML, has some equipment for sale.  Equipment includes a 2m twist antenna, 80’ tower, 3-band HT for $150, AL-80 power supply, and a mobile HF radio for $50.   Any assistance with cleaning up his shop would be greatly appreciated.  541-571-1033 is his phone number.  Contact him directly if interested.
3. The club breakfast is next weekend at Rae’s Dayz at 8am.
4. Dennis mentioned that there is a high wind warning in effect for 2PM tomorrow.  Alan said that he’d be stationed at the Umatilla County EOC before 2PM in case a SKYWARN net was warranted.
