The November 11th, 2024 monthly HARC meeting was held at Hermiston High School in Room 311 and was called to order by President Sam at 19:00.

New Members: None
The October 2024 meeting minutes and November 2024 Secretary/Treasurer’s Report were distributed via email by J. Kelso on 11/01/2024.
A motion was made by Kevin to adopt the October meeting minutes as presented and it was seconded by Mike. The motion passed unanimously.
The November 2024 Secretary/Treasurer’s Report was read by Jeff K.
Ongoing Business:
- Dennis provided a solar report to the membership.
- Testing – There will be a testing session tomorrow, November 12th. Two applicants will test. Examiners will meet at 6:30 PM at the Episcopal church on Gladys Ave.
- Winter Field Day 2025 – Winter Field Day will be Jan 25 and 26 at EOTEC. Kevin says that we’re supposed to meet with EOTEC staff in December to look things over with them. The main building will need to be open for bathroom access. Kevin will send a message to the HARC mailing list to see who wants to go out there with him to inspect the place.
- Ione School Ham Radio Class – Todd reports that he is going to the Ione school at 10 AM tomorrow to meet with them. The teacher has ordered an Icom 7300. Todd reports that he’ll be working with 6-8th graders and is excited about the opportunity.
- Wednesday Night Net – Rhett reports that the net started on the .02 three weeks ago, and it could use some more participation. The net starts at 10 PM currently, but the time may be moved up a bit to help increase participation.
New Business:
- Officer elections were held. Kevin moved that a unanimous ballot be cast for the nominees (Sam – President, Anna – Vice President, Jeff – Secretary/Treasurer.) Todd seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
- Sam proposed that we move the HARC monthly meeting to either the first or third Monday of the month. Jeff S. made a motion that the meeting be moved to the Third Monday of the month in December and it was seconded by Bob. Motion passed. The next meeting will be held on December 16th. Jeff K. will be out of town on vacation, so President Sam will work to find a different venue for the meeting.
- Dennis asked if the club would rather hold a Christmas Dinner or a Christmas Breakfast this year. Christmas Breakfast was the decided-upon option.
Announcements:
1. Club Breakfast – Saturday, November 16th at Rayz Dayz, Umatilla at 8:00 AM.
