We are excited that you desire to test for an Amateur Radio License!

YOU MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE TO TEST!  If nobody has registered to take an exam on a given date, no exams will be given.  To register for a test session please go to https://hamstudy.org/sessions

Scroll through the list of sessions and select a session with HARC for the month in which you are desiring to test and click on that session to register. From September 2023 to December 2023 all test sessions are offered on the second Tuesday of the month. The exam team will determine the day of week for 2024 in November 2023.

After you find a session that you are available to attend, click on the green date link to register. After clicking on the green label please read the information on the next screen and then click on the orange “Register” box at the bottom of the page. On the next page indicate whether you are testing as a new licensee or wanting to test for an upgrade. Complete the registration process for the session. On the next page you must indicate whether you have been convicted of a crime that is punishable as a felony in any state of the U.S. Next, select whether you have an FRN from the FCC. If you do not have an FRN click on the appropriate box and follow the directions to be assigned an FRN by the FCC. You can use the link on the following page where you will see: “To obtain an FRN you need to: Create a CORES account with the FCC (if you have not already done so): Click here Sign into your CORES account: Click here Select “Register New FRN” and follow the instructions. When you are done come back to this page and finish your registration!”
