The April 6th, 2026 monthly HARC meeting was held in Hermiston High School Room 313 and was called to order by Vice President Anna at 19:01.

The March 2026 meeting minutes and April 2026 Secretary/Treasurer’s Report were distributed via email by J. Kelso on 04/01/2026. THERE WAS NOT A QUORUM PRESENT AT THIS MEETING SO THE MINUTES WERE NOT ADOPTED.
The April 2026 Secretary/Treasurer’s Report was read by Jeff.
Ongoing Business:
- Dennis provided a solar report to the membership.
- Testing – There was no testing scheduled for this month according to Anna.
- The Fourth Thing – If anyone has any ideas, please bring them up at a meeting or on the mailing list.
- Jeff gave an update on the status of the Carnegie Building proposal. At its last meeting, the City Council heard four proposals that were received in writing and an opportunity will be provided to each group to present their proposal before a decision is made by the Council on the fate of the building.
- Purchase of a Club-owned CW key and oscillator – These items have not been purchased yet according to Anna.
- Sports booster auction – Our basket sold for $100 to a party in Echo according to Anna.
- Meshtastic test node – Dennis reported that Sam had told him that Meshtastic users in town can hear the node on the Butte, but they can’t make contact with it from their devices in town.
- Whitley discussed a few problems that he’s running into with the new repeater controller that is currently on the .02 repeater and discussions about possible solutions ensued.
New Business:
- LCOTA is scheduled for June 6-21.
- Wagon Train is scheduled for June 22-27.
- Summer Field Day will be held on June 27-28 and the membership should propose locations at the next Club meeting.
- Jeff reported that founding member David Mull (WA7FJT) has sent in a dues check from his home in Arizona and has been added to the HARC membership roster.
Announcements:
1. Club Breakfast – Saturday, April 18th at Rayz Dayz, Umatilla at 8:00 AM.
