The August 4th, 2025 monthly HARC meeting was held at Hermiston High School in Room 311 and was called to order by President Sam at 19:01.

The July 2025 meeting minutes and August 2025 Secretary/Treasurer’s Report were distributed via email by J. Kelso on 08/01/2025. A motion to adopt the July meeting minutes was made by Kevin and seconded by Dennis. The motion passed unanimously. A motion to adopt the June meeting minutes was made by Kevin and seconded by Whitley. The motion passed unanimously.
The August 2025 Secretary/Treasurer’s Report was read by Jeff.
Ongoing Business:
- Dennis provided a solar report to the membership.
- Testing – Kevin said that we currently have no applicants for Tuesday’s test session. Kevin has canceled the session.
- August Fourth Thing – We helped out at one or more parades. Ideas for future activities include a POTA activation and a road trip on the air.
New Business:
- Jeff asked for the club’s permission to order up to $50 worth of checks for the club to have on hand. Kevin moved that we procure the checks. The motion was seconded by Jim. The motion passed unanimously.
- The club received two QSL cards. The first was for Summer Field Day from KL7DRC which we shall give to Kyra S as she likely worked the station during the event. The second card was sent by Kevin to AB0BM, but was returned to the club’s PO box by the Post Office. Anna said that she would re-send the card via the USPS.
- President Sam mentioned that ChangeX has a new round of grant funding open now in NE Oregon. A discussion ensued about potential grant application ideas, including a trailer.
- Michelle made a motion that if it is decided by Whitley and Jeff that replacing the internal jumper wires in the 02 repeater will alleviate the interference problem, the club authorizes them to purchase the internal jumpers. Motion was seconded by Kevin. Motion passed unanimously.
Announcements:
1. Club Breakfast – Saturday, August 16th at Rayz Dayz, Umatilla at 8:00 AM.
