The Amateur Radio Service and hobby is even more interesting than I had imagined. With the help of the kind Elmers (mentors) in this club and elsewhere, I was able to eliminate much of the frustration that can occur in the first steps after getting licensed. Last week I got my first HF radio and I am working on developing my operating skills and knowledge to serve with ARES/RACES if needed.
